Chevrolet reveals pair of Corvette special editions
Atlantic and Pacific design packs show off the luxurious and more track-focused parts of Corvette’s personality
GM has announced two new special editions of the Chevrolet Corvette off the back of positive responses to two concepts shown at last year’s SEMA Motor Show. The first, called Atlantic, is based on the convertible and leans towards a more luxurious finish, while the second, called Pacific, is based on the Stingray and gets more aggressive styling inside and out.
Both editions come with the Z51 pack as standard (already standard equipment on all UK models) and feature custom floor mats, splash guards and rear number plate surround. In addition the Atlantic, gets a Z06 style prominent front splitter, Shark grey exterior vents, bonnet graphics and roof inserts, chrome wheels and custom luggage.
The Pacific model adds full length satin black racing stripes, satin black wheels with Stingray centre caps, carbon fibre bodykit and roof panel, carbon rear spoiler, mirrors and exterior badges and red brake callipers. Inside, there are competition sports seats trimmed either in red or black, carbon fibre trim and an indoor car cover. Colour options are limited to red, black, white, sliver or grey.

Under the skin you’ll find the a 460bhp 6.2-litre V8, capable of covering 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds, in both cars, although the Atlantic comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the sportier Pacific model comes with a seven-speed manual transmission. The standard-fit Z51 pack adds a limited slip differential, bigger tyres, wheels and brakes, plus firmer suspension.
There is no news yet on prices or whether these two editions will be made available to UK customers.
