Caterham and Harrods join up to announce Caterham Signature
New personalisation programme means that the £60k Caterham Seven has arrived, and you can pick it up a Harrods...
Caterham has teamed up with luxury outlet Harrods to launch a new personilisation programme called Caterham Signature. A new special edition Caterham Seven based on the 420S has also been introduced to mark the partnership.
The special edition will be sold exclusively in store at Harrods priced from £59,999 – almost twice the price of a standard Caterham Seven 420. It’s finished in Harrods green, while white stripes with gold pinstripe run down the length of the car.
Inside, the cabin has been finished in butterscotch leather, the seats are embossed with the Harrods name, plus the letter H has been etched on to the gear level. Beneath the bodywork, the chassis of the special edition has also been powder-coated in gold.
No powertrain tweaks have been made to the Harrods-inspired model, so it comes powered by the same 207bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
As part of the new Caterham Signature personalisation programme, customers are able to make unique changes to cars such as having names embossed in headrests. Caterham’s Chief Commercial Officer, David Ridley, said: “The Caterham Seven has always been one of the easiest cars on the road to personalise, because every car is hand-built and bespoke for each customer.
