Bentley Continental Mulliner Riviera Collection revealed
The Continental GT-based Mulliner Riviera Collection cars will only be available through the firm’s Monaco hub
Despite having around half the population of Bentley’s hometown of Crewe, Monaco will receive a bespoke line of nautical-themed Continental GTs to celebrate “the elegant world of the yachting industry”.
Bentley says its new Mulliner Riviera Collection will be the “ultimate expression of open-air grand touring” with handcrafted detailing to reflect the “exclusive character of the French Riviera”. Monegasque customers will be able to configure their cars through Bentley’s Mulliner Bespoke programme.
Available only in convertible GTC form, these special Continentals are available with three unique paint finishes - Aegean Blue, Aquamarine and Caribbean Blue, which can also cover the carbon fibre extensions and boot lid spoiler. The faux vent behind the front wheel gains a Mulliner badge, while the usual badging to indicate the presence of either the Continential’s V8 or W12 engine is removed. Bentley has yet to reveal which of the powerplants the Riviera Collection will be offered with but the regular Continental GTC Mulliner range is available with either engine and the quad exhaust tips on the car in the pictures suggests the V8 will be available.
Inside there’s a selection of sailing-inspired features such as the marine knot logos embroidered on the headrests, a light, linen and Alcantara trim to the seats, plus navy and gold leather elsewhere. There are also treadplates with ‘Riviera Collection’ inscribed and the centre console receives a yacht-like teak decking design.
As with all of Bentley’s Mulliner creations, pricing is dependent on the customer’s specification. We expect each one of the Riviera Collection cars to cost far north of the standard car’s £194,000 price tag.
